What is Normalization?
Structure relational data so each fact is stored exactly once.
Designing tables so every piece of data lives in exactly one place (formally, the 1NF–3NF forms). It prevents update anomalies, with the trade-off that reads sometimes need joins — which is why analytics stores often denormalize on purpose.
